Trust, Ethics, and Fiduciary Duty

Are you a fiduciary?
Yes. As an SEC-registered investment adviser, we are bound by a fiduciary duty to act in your best interest at all times.
Will you put it in writing?
Absolutely. Our status as a fiduciary is a matter of public record in our Form ADV and is the foundation of our client agreements.
Disciplinary history?

We do not have any legal or disciplinary history. You can verify our firm (CRD# 287895) via the SEC’s Investment Adviser Public Disclosure website.

Conflicts of interest?

We believe transparency is the absolute bedrock of a trusted financial relationship. Any potential conflicts — such as the ability of our professionals to offer commission-based insurance options or legacy brokerage transactions through PKS — are fully detailed in our publicly available ADV Part 2A. To ensure our advice remains unbiased, our core wealth management services are delivered through a flat, bundled wrap fee program designed to keep our interests perfectly aligned with your long-term success.

Fee-only or fee-based?
We are a fee-based firm, primarily compensated through a percentage of assets under management, ensuring our success is tied to yours.
Sales contests or bonuses?
No. We do not participate in sales contests or receive bonuses for recommending specific proprietary products.
Can I see your Form ADV?
Yes, it is available on our website under “Disclosures” or via the SEC website. We encourage every client to review it.
Who is the custodian?

We recommend that clients utilize the institutional custody and clearing services of Fidelity Institutional Wealth Services and Schwab Institutional, a division of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc.

Costs and Compensation

Total fee structure?
Our primary compensation is an annual asset-based fee, typically tiered based on the complexity and size of the relationship.
Hidden costs?

We believe in total transparency. Because our investment management services are primarily provided through a wrap fee program, standard brokerage commissions and account transaction costs are absorbed by our firm. The outside costs our clients face are strictly product-level fees (such as mutual fund internal expense ratios) or specific custodian account-maintenance fees.

Is your fee negotiable?
Fees are generally standard to ensure fairness across our client base, though we consider the overall scope of the relationship.
How do I pay?

Advisory fees are prorated and deducted directly from your managed accounts on a monthly basis, in arrears, based upon the market value of the average daily account balance for that month.

Year one costs?
Beyond the agreed-upon management fee, we do not charge “onboarding” or “set-up” fees for our standard advisory services.
Commissions on insurance?

Certain supervised persons of Weaver Consulting Group offer insurance products in their individual capacities under separate commission-based arrangements. While this creates a conflict of interest, our firm maintains strict oversight and procedures to ensure all risk-management recommendations are made strictly in your best interest.

Minimum asset requirement?
We primarily serve hard-working individuals and families in or near retirement. While we have internal targets, we focus on the “fit” and the complexity of your needs.

Services, Niche, and Qualifications

Designations?
Our team includes Chartered Retirement Planning Counselors (CRPC) and Accredited Wealth Management Advisors (AWMA).
Specialization?
We specialize in pre-retirees and retirees, as well as managing corporate retirement plans to help employees transition successfully to their “next act.”
Comprehensive planning?
Yes. We provide both investment management and deep financial planning using tools like eMoney to see your “big picture.”
Estate planning?
We focus heavily on your “Legacy,” helping you create plans that ensure your family is taken care of after you’re gone.
Tax preparation?
While we don’t file your taxes, we provide proactive tax planning and coordinate closely with your CPA.
Insurance management?
We review your existing coverage as part of our holistic risk management process.
Coordination with other pros?

Specific life events?
With over 20 years of experience, we’ve guided clients through business sales, inheritance, and the transition from work to “unretirement.”

Relationship and Logistics

Review frequency?

We believe effective wealth supervision is an ongoing process, not a calendar event. Our team monitors investment portfolios on a continuous and fluid baseline to ensure your allocations remain aligned with your long-term objectives. Our standard firm protocols layer in structured internal reviews at least quarterly to track account risk suitability, completely removing artificial calendar traps so we can focus on dynamic, proactive portfolio management throughout the year.

Communication style?
We prefer a human touch. Whether it’s in-person at our Huntington Beach office, via phone, or Zoom, we are here when you have a question.
Direct access?

You have direct access to our core advisory team and support professionals. Our firm is built as a close-knit wealth management practice, meaning you work face-to-face with our partners and senior staff. This collaborative boutique structure ensures highly personalized, timely responses without the automated phone menus of a corporate call center.

Firm size?

We are a family-owned wealth management practice managing $1 billion+ in regulatory assets under management. We are proud to be recognized by USA Today* as one of the top financial advisory firms in California. This prominent regional positioning gives our clients the absolute resource scale of a major institution, balanced by the small-business heart and personalized relationship focus of a local firm.

*The USA Today Top Advisory Firms list is developed by an independent third party based on regional data collected over a specific period. Weaver Consulting Group did not provide direct or indirect compensation to obtain or use this rating. Past results are no guarantee of future performance.

Succession plan?
As a closely held firm led by co-owners Jason and Travis Weaver, we have a fully integrated Business Continuity and Succession Plan in place. In the event of an advisor’s passing or incapacity, our surviving partners and senior leadership seamlessly assume account management and trading responsibilities. Our transition process is managed locally by our Chief Operations Officer to guarantee you have continuous, direct access to your assets without any operational disruption.
Response time?
Providing a “neighborly” experience means being there when you need us. We pride ourselves on timely, personal responses.
Online portal?
Yes. We offer “Your Life” (via Orion) for performance tracking and “Your Legacy” (via eMoney) for goal tracking.
First meeting prep?
We just want to hear your story. Bring your questions and your dreams; we’ll handle the technical details later.
Firing an advisor?
If your current advisor isn’t listening or providing clarity, it’s your right to find a partner who will. We make the transition of assets seamless.
